John Dramani Mahama is scheduled to travel to France on Monday for a series of high-level engagements, including participation in a global health summit and bilateral talks with Emmanuel Macron, according to Ghana’s presidency.

Mr. Mahama will begin his visit in Lyon, where he is set to attend the 2026 One Health Summit, a gathering of world leaders and health officials focused on strengthening international coordination on health systems, food security and emerging global threats. He is expected to co-chair a high-level segment of the summit alongside Mr. Macron.

The Ghanaian leader will deliver keynote remarks on global health architecture and outline his country’s position on health security, including commitments to address evolving public health risks. The summit will also feature participation from senior international officials, including Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus of the World Health Organization.

Following the summit, Mr. Mahama will travel to Paris for meetings at the Élysée Palace, where discussions with Mr. Macron are expected to center on expanding cooperation in areas such as health, education, trade, investment and regional security.

Mr. Mahama is also scheduled to meet Gérard Larcher before concluding his visit and returning to Accra.
